Dhaka city is the capital of Bangladesh which is a densely populated country. This country is also suffering from poverty, natural disasters, crimes etc. But one of the biggest problems are juvenile offence, early child marriage, infant mortality, child labor etc. But the main cause of these crimes is poverty. Due to poverty children face these problems in our country. And these problems are mainly seen in the urban areas of our country, specially in Dhaka.
Child labor is a common scene in Dhaka city. The poor children those who cannot afford a luxurious and a simple life due to their financial crisis become victims of child labor.Again in many cases the parents make their children labors and make them work for others in many factories and other places. They do this due to overcome their poverty. For child labor the little children of the poor families cannot get proper education. The Bangladesh Government says that they will ensure education to all by the year of 2015, but the scenario is same as before. In order to ensure education for all firstly they need to remove child labor.
Offences done by young and immature boys and girls is called juvenile offence. It is very common in our country. The age range of juvenile offence in our country is in between 7-16 years. Poverty is the main reason of juvenile offence in our country. Many wishes of the poor boys and girls of a country remains unfulfilled. So to fulfill their demand they do many crimes and thus they become juvenile offenders.
Infant mortality is a very dangerous thing. Many children die at a young age and this is known a s infant mortality. In Dhaka, many types of diseases break out. This is caused due to the polluted and non-hygenic environment of our city. No one tries to clean this city. But they also do not know its consequences. The young children those who suffer from poverty lives in a dusty and a very nasty environment falls sick very quickly. And in many cases death which we say infant mortality. Bangladesh got a price in controlling infant mortality by the UNICEF, but know suddenly it have increased. If all the NGOs and the Government itself contributes to reduce infant mortality then we shall overcome it.
So, by the above discussion we can say that Dhaka city is not safe for children. But as a capital city, we should try to solve all the problems and make Dhaka a safe and a better place to live.teertho11.blogspot.com
